Mark and Michelle Childs' wedding, hailed as a "miracle," symbolizes the enduring bond formed through CPR. Mark, who suffered a widowmaker heart attack in 2017, owes his life to John Fitzpatrick, a stranger who performed CPR when Mark collapsed at an auto parts store. Their emotional reunion months later cemented a lifelong connection. Apr 30, 2022 --If Mary Lovelace had delayed her departure from dinner, she might have missed the critical moment. Instead, the Loyola University Medical Center nurse was providentially present on a Scottsdale sidewalk when Angelo Valenti collapsed from cardiac arrest during a conversation. Despite never having met Valenti, Lovelace administered CPR for nearly eight minutes until an ambulance arrived, ultimately saving his life. Jun 09, 2021 --The police body camera recording shows that the Mom of the child had taken him out of their family pool and had started proving him CPR. Officer Shelby Meinhardt took over and started providing CPR to the child until paramedics arrived. The 2-year-old Justin was saved just because of the timely provision of CPR.
Jan 27, 2019 --21-year-old Cross Scott saw a woman locked in her, he stopped and called 911. He broke into the car and found out that the woman was not breathing. He never received emergency training but thought of Steve Carell's character in a show where he performed CPR to the tune of the song "Stayin' Alive". Within a minute the woman started breathing and was then taken to the hospital.
Jan 26, 2019 --Cross Scott was test-driving a customer's vehicle when he saw a parked car with the hazard lights on. Inside the car was a woman slumped on the steering wheel, not breathing and in bad shape. Sensing an emergency situation, Scott broke the car window to gain access and checked the woman's pulse. She had none at that time. He immediately performed CPR, a life saving technique he only learned from watching a TV show which was popular 10-years-ago. While he was doing chest compressions, two women who stopped to help called for medics who arrived 10 minutes later and immediately brought the woman to the hospital. The woman was later declared out of danger.
Aug 14, 2018 --This 13-year-old stated faith in God saved him from sure death. Josiah Wiedman and his friends were enjoying a walk in the park when lightning struck. He said he saw a bright light then everything became dark. The next thing Josiah knew, someone was performing CPR on him. He was revived and later brought to the Phoenix Children's Hospital.
Jul 19, 2018 --Donielle King, a mother of five was charged with child abuse when she deliberately left her son alone at home when she reported to work that Tuesday morning. When she came home from work she found her one-year-old baby in the children's room no longer responding. The mother administered CPR hoping to revive the baby before responders arrived on the scene. The baby was later declared dead in the hospital where he was brought by responders.
Sep 04, 2017 --An 18 month old toddler is alive and well thanks to the heroic action of his cousin. Imtisal Mohamed spotted his cousing floating in a pool and withouth considering the risks, jumped to the rescue. She managed to take the little girl out of the pool and inmediatly yelled for help. The parents came and started doing chest compressions and rescue breathings on the lifeless body "I Just laid her down and just started doing CPR," said Abulgasim Mohamed. Firefighters came minutes later and assisted the parents. The 18 month girl began crying the minute the arrived to the hospital, where she recovered "If I didn't know how to swim, maybe she wouldn't be OK," said the heroic Imtisal.
Dec 13, 2016 --A 16 old month toddler fell to a pool and nobody noticed until it was almost too late. A group of family members pulled the baby out of the water and after seeing that she was unresponsive they began doing chest compressions and rescue breathings. They all received CPR training a week before and they knew exactly what to do at the right time. Thanks to it, a tragic accident was adverted and the baby is happily recovering.
Sep 28, 2016 --During an undercover narcotics investigation, police officers approached the car they had been watching and the driver of the car pointed his gun at them. He then used his car to run into the officers SVU. An undercover officer fired a shot the driver. The officers in the marked SUV and the undercover officers found the 26-year-old man unresponsive and began CPR. The fire department arrived on the scene and took over. He was taken to the hospital where he is now in critical condition.
Aug 04, 2016 --Becky Iverson had the opportunity to save her husband’s life when he suffered a heart attack and even though she didn’t know how to perform CPR a call to 911 and a conversation with the dispatcher who helped her administer a successful CPR technique while waiting for the EMS services to arrive "You've got to get out and get a CPR class, because it's essential. It can happen anywhere, whether it's at home, in your car or at work," said Iverson.
Jul 21, 2016 --Chad Breeden, a Mountainburg Police Sgt. Managed to save a life while he was arresting a suspect of drug possession. Wayne Gorman was unresponsive when officer Breeden quickly pulled him out of his patrol card and started doing CPR while waiting for EMTs to arrive. Chad was promoted and received a life saving award at Mountainburg City Hall for his valiant efforts.
Jul 04, 2016 --An 18-month-old boy fell into a pool while at a 4th of July gathering. He was pulled out the pool and people at the home began CPR on the child. Paramedics arrived at the scene and took over. The boy's pulse come back, but he was still unconscious on the way to the hospital. He was taken to Phoenix Children's Hospital and is in critical condition.
May 01, 2016 --13-year-old Nathan Boyer saved his coaches life. His coach, Isaac Wenrich, suffered a heart attack. Wenrich said that Nate knew to roll him over, take his phone and call 911, then administer CPR. Wenrich's girlfriend stated that Nate performed CPR for four minutes until paramedics arrived.
Mar 28, 2016 --Nathan Boyer an eight-grader was with his coach Isaac Wenrich running drills last month, when his coach collapsed on the field, suffering from a heart attack. Boyer knows what to do, who administers CPR right away and took the phone of his coach and call 911. Nate had to do CPR for 4 minutes before the paramedics arrived. Wenrich told that he is beyond thankful. That the Lord brings people in your life for crazy reasons. because based on paramedics, if Nate did not do CPR, Isaac would be dead right now.
Jul 12, 2015 --David Thomas was shocked when he slept in his bed and woke up in a hospital some time later. The medical team that was in charge of his wellbeing explained to him that he had an epileptic seizure that was caused by a high-degree fever and severe dehydration. It was summer and David was the basketball coach of the first year students at the school he works in. He was working himself to hard and he wasn’t very attentive about his fluid intake. His wife saw him convulsing. She called the emergency hotline and performed CPR while the EMS were en route. She ultimately saved his life.
Jan 23, 2015 --Two Orange County firefighters were on a flight to Houston along with their canine partners to attend a training seminar when a man sitting in front of them suddenly stood up and called for help. One of the firefighters caught the man as he collapses and goes into cardiac arrest. They immediately started CPR, hooked the man up to an IV and used a defibrillator. The flight was diverted to Phoenix but the man was already conscious and talking by the time Phoenix paramedics reached the plane. The plane continued its flight to Texas after some delay but the patient was brought to a hospital.
Aug 24, 2012 --Baseball umpire, Jim Joyce, thought it was just an ordinary day when he saw Jane Powers fall in the locker room. The ballpark server was just lounging around the room after routine laps, but her friends knew something was wrong. Joyce rushed to her side and applied CPR compressions to revive the girl. Thanks to his CPR training and quick thinking, the field worker made a full recovery after being transported to the local hospital for medical care. Joyce was honored a hero in addition to his famous blown call on the baseball field. Powers was also changed by this experience and started giving out CPR lessons through parties.
Jan 12, 2014 --Escaping from the freezing temperatures of Canada, Chelsea Cunningham was at the right place and time when a two-year-old girl fell into a septic tank. She was near a convenience store, when the child made a wrong turn and plunged into an open septic tank. A man got her out and Chelsea offered CPR help despite not having medical training in the past. She was able to administer CPR until the girl was breathing again. It happened before the paramedics arrived, but the girl still needed proper medical assistance to fully recover from the incident. The mother was ever thankful for the Canadian native.
