Wyoming services snapshot
Purchase a Wyoming ACLS with EMT Advantage and you won’t need to worry about your WY ACLS certification for 2 full years. Our certifications last for 2 years from the date you passed the exam. Each certificate is accepted nationally so you won’t have to re-take a course should you move during that time period. We’re also happy to send you a replacement certificate should you misplace your certificate within the two-year window.
Our Wyoming PALS courses are accepted in every state in the U.S. Should you move locations or change jobs you can still use your WY PALS certificates as proof of certification in your new location. Our courses are also accepted in Canada and other international countries as well.

Wyoming health overview Wyoming ranked 26th in terms of public health in 2017. The state ranked 37th in the number of cardiac related deaths and 46th in the number of deaths caused by cancer (Stats of the State of Wyoming,https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/pressroom/states/wyoming/wyoming.htm 2018).
- The prevalence of diabetes in the state has fallen from 8.2% to 7.1% over the last year though the state still has 309,000 adults who have been diagnosed as diabetics.

The ORH (Wyoming Office of Rural Health) has listed some ‘key’ factors based on the states unique geographic and population traits. The entire state (except the districts of Natrona and Laramie) is deemed ‘RURAL’ and 17 counties whose density of population is less than 6,000 residents per square mile have been declared ‘FRONTIER’. The findings of ORH state that:
- 8 counties suffer from a shortage of primary healthcare providers
- 200,000 people in shortage areas have inadequate access to primary health care
- 205,000 people in shortage areas have inadequate access to dental care
- The entire state suffers from a dearth of mental health providers

Jul 20, 2018 -- Bystander provides CPR to a 72-year-old cardiac arrest victim
A 72-year-old man complained about having chest pain and then suddenly collapsed. The bystander performed CPR on him until EMS came and provided him shocks with a defibrillator and he revived. He was conscious and alert when he was loaded in the ambulance and was taken to the hospital in Salt Lake City.
